CreaTV Welcomes New Board Members
We are thrilled to introduce our new Board Members, Gerard Manuel, Shirley Bird, and Cam Vu. Each of them brings a unique set of skills, are committed to racial justice, and supports CreaTV's mission of empowering underrepresented communities to share their stories and perspectives through digital media.

Gerard Manuel
Gerard is the Director of Wellness Services at AACI, responsible for leading agency-wide integration efforts, wellness strategies and initiatives to drive positive change among AACI clients, patients and served communities. Gerard provides strategic leadership and oversight of wellness and community services that promote healthy independence, healthy lifestyle, safety, and security. He received his bachelor’s degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies with an emphasis in Therapeutic Recreation from San Jose State University.
Shirley Bird
Shirley is a Business Planning Manager at AMD, where she drives revenue management and strategy. She graduated from Dublin City University with a Bachelor of Business degree and brings with her over 10 years experience in Accounting and Finance. Born and raised in Ireland, Shirley relocated to California in 2018 and currently lives in Los Gatos. She has joined CreaTV Board as a Treasurer.
Cam Vu
Cam is a nonprofit fundraising professional who works in community health and healthcare services. She is currently a development officer for Valley Health Foundation, which supports the public healthcare system in Santa Clara County as well as community health and wellness programs. She got her BA in Ethnic Studies from UC San Diego and a doctorate degree in American Studies and Ethnicity from the University of Southern California. She believes a thriving community is where all can live with dignity, full rights, and joy. She lives in San Jose and can be frequently found being walked by her dog, Gal.
