CreaTV San José is hosting the Alliance for Community Media’s (ACM) Conference from June 25-27 at their state-of-the-art facility, Open San José.

CreaTV San José celebrates its 15th anniversary on October 20, 2023, from 6pm - 8pm. CreaTV has served more than 20,000 youth and adults, providing meaningful opportunities for media making and technology training. 

CreaTV San José has been approved for a $20,000 Grants for Arts Projects award from the National Endowment for the Arts to support the DocuMentorMe program. 

Chad Johnston, CEO of CreaTV San José, has been recognized as one of the recipients of the 2023 Alliance for Community Media (ACM) Awards.

CreaTV has been making big plans! As some of you have heard in the news, CreaTV is planning a new home and a new vision for 2022. Starting this summer, we will be renovating a brand new facility at 38 S. 2nd Street, right in the heart of downtown. 

While the pandemic and calls for racial justice changed our lives forever in 2020, we’ve been quietly working and planning on some big changes at CreaTV San José. 

Open San Jose is ready for its grand opening on Saturday. The 18,000 square-foot community hub in downtown San Jose is home to CreaTV San Jose and six other anchor nonprofits including three arts organizations, Chopsticks Alley Art, Works/San Jose and Mosaic America.

We are moving into our first-ever office in the heart of downtown San Jose. A special thanks to CreaTV CEO Chad Johnston for leading the charge on Open San José, an 18,000-square-foot office on South Second Street with studios and gallery space for arts and media nonprofits like us. 

A masterpiece of creative urban synergy is about to unfold inside the mammoth Second Street building formerly occupied by TechShop, Zanotto's Market and Allen's Furniture.

Nonprofit community media center CreaTV San Jose last month leased 18,000 square feet of office space downtown on S. Second St. — the former site of a Zanotto’s deli express and TechShop.
