Learn and Share Session

As part of a two year National Endowment of the Arts project around arts and tech, CreaTV is inviting San José/Santa Clara County artists to learn about its 2025-26 artist in residency program at Open San José. This learning and listening session is geared towards artists who are curious about incorporating media and technology into their practice and who would be interested in creating a site specific project using the Open SJ space and its media and tech resources.
The information session will include background regarding the residency, a tour of Open SJ and basic overview of its tech resources, and time set aside for CreaTV staff to learn what ideas and desires artists have regarding technology and media within their practice. This is also a time to discuss ideas artists have regarding a residency project. One-on-one mentoring time with CreaTV staff will be available after this session to help further your ideas and snacks will be provided.
5-7 paid residencies will be chosen through an application process led by CreaTV, Chopsticks Alley Art, Mosaic America, and Works/San José. Applications will be made public in early April and will be due in early May. Projects must take place between June 2025 and June 2026. More information regarding the application will be available shortly.
